Your Botox Appointment
From consultation to aftercare, every step is designed to help you make informed decisions and feel confident in your treatment.
Before Your Appointment
You’ll sit down with Meagan first. She’ll ask about your goals, look at your face, and map out the areas that’ll get you there. Then, she’ll give you a unit estimate before you agree to anything.
During Your Appointment
The injections themselves are typically completed in about 15 to 20 minutes. A very fine needle is used, and most patients describe the sensation as a mild pinch with minimal discomfort. Because treatment is highly personalized, Meagan carefully places each injection to support balanced, natural-looking results.
After Your Appointment
For the first 24 hours, skip strenuous exercise, stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid massaging the treated areas, and steer clear of heat exposure for 24-48 hours. And before you go, ask about pre-booking your next visit to lock in that new client rate.
Your Botox Provider
Meagan Meffert, APRN-CNP, has been a nurse for over 17 years and holds her MSN from Graceland University. She’s AANP board certified and trained directly by Allergan in injectable technique, which is about as specific and verifiable as a credential gets in this field. How is Botox different from filler?
Botox softens expression lines by relaxing the muscles that create them. Dermal fillers restore volume in areas such as the lips, cheeks, and other areas that have lost fullness. During your consultation, Meagan will determine whether Botox, filler, or a combination of both best supports your goals.
When will I see results?
Usually within 3-5 days, with the full effect settling in by 10-14 days. Give it the full two weeks before judging your results.
Can I combine Botox with other treatments?
We do not recommend or perform BBL treatments on the same day as Botox, as BBL uses heat and energy on the skin; we consider it a standalone treatment for patient safety and optimal results.
HydraFacial and DiamondGlow can be performed on the same day as Botox if needed, although Meagan generally recommends scheduling them separately. Following these facial treatments, we ask patients not to wash their face for several hours so the treatment serums can continue absorbing into the skin. Receiving Botox immediately afterward requires cleansing the injection sites, which removes some of those beneficial serums. While it can be done for convenience, separating the appointments allows patients to receive the full benefits of both treatments. Meagan will guide you on the best combination for your goals.
